Climate Ready Classroom Award

Does your school have a Climate Ready Classroom?  Are you part of the rapidly growing network of classrooms across Northern Ireland already achieving this new award?

If you are working towards your Eco-School Green Flag or simply looking for ways to improve knowledge, awareness and climate action with both staff and students, becoming a Climate Ready Classroom is a great way to start the process. 

Many teachers are supporting their pupils to learn about climate change and become sustainable citizens. The Climate Ready Classroom Award provides professional development opportunities for teachers as well as learning resources for pupils. It raises the profile of this class-based learning as well as wider sustainability actions taken across your school. 

In providing links to a network of other teachers preparing pupils to live in a changing climate, the Climate Ready Classroom Award offers extensive opportunities to learn from and with other schools.
